THE JOB:
As an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you are an essential part of guest experience. Your dedication to provide top-notch experiences for guests will set the stage for the memories that guests can carry with them well past their stay with us. By ensuring efficient daily operations, and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment, you play a crucial role in elevating the overall guest experience.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Oversee operational functions aligned with the strategic vision of the department, division, and property
Manage Human Resources responsibilities for Housekeeping such as ensuring quality hiring aligned with diversity commitments and overseeing disciplinary actions, succession planning, and employee satisfaction
Maintain compliance with company policies, legal standards, and collective bargaining agreements
Ensure exceptional guest experience by upholding service standards, addressing areas for improvement, and driving continuous enhancements within Housekeeping
Foster a team-oriented environment by providing performance feedback, recognition, and training to support the development of Housekeeping Floor Managers and staff, while maximizing advancement opportunities
Collaborate with various departments and maintain effective working relationships
Consistently evaluate staffing levels in accordance with business demands, providing recommendations for adjustments
Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet sanitation requirements and adhere to established standards
Represent management at unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and various meetings, when necessary.
Assume full responsibilities of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4+ years in hospitality, business management, leadership)
Has prior experience in a housekeeping leadership role, overseeing employees under a Collective Bargaining Agreement, within a hotel or resort setting
Is proficient in Rex, Opera, Amadeus, Kronos and Microsoft Office applications
Has prior experience interpreting and using Hotel Occupancy Reports to anticipate staffing needs
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
Has a flexible schedule to support operations as needed
Professional appearance and demeanor
Bilingual
