This position supervises and coordinates the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department at the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Perform routine quality inspections of all public areas, guest rooms, VIP reservations, and suites to ensure departmental and performance standards are met. Verify vacancy reports and maintain the daily logbook.*
Respond to guest questions and concerns in order to maintain guest satisfaction. Resolve and follow up on any complaints to ensure resolutions effectively meet guest needs and service expectation standards.*
Enforce operational policies and procedures for inspecting and managing the quality of Housekeeping services. Ensure consistently high standards in all areas of Housekeeping as well as a safe and efficient working environment for staff.*
Assist with career development for Housekeeping staff through interviewing, scheduling, training, and coaching/counseling. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.*
Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels by ordering and receiving cleaning and other supplies for Lodge operations.*
Participate in Manager on Duty rotation and fill in for the Executive Housekeeper and Rooms Coordinator as necessary.*
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
Completion of high school or GED
Associate’s degree - Hospitality, preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Working knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations.
Familiar with inventory taking and recording.
Proven employee/guest relations, problem solving, and organization skills.
Professional image representative of property image.
