Assistant Executive Housekeeper - Park MGM

THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Park MGM to manage all operations for assigned areas within  Housekeeping, and to perform all assigned functions/duties in accordance with established guidelines/ procedures.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Oversee operational functions in alignment with the strategic vision of the department, division, and property.

Ensure the consistent delivery and evaluation of guest service standards within Housekeeping, following company guidelines.

Contribute to the development, assessment, and implementation of new products, services, technologies, and processes to maintain a competitive edge in the evolving hospitality and gaming industry.

Manage Human Resources responsibilities within the Housekeeping department.

Mentor and coach Housekeeping Floor Managers by assigning additional tasks and responsibilities to foster career growth.

Assume full leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.

Foster a team-oriented culture that emphasizes a commitment to service excellence.

Uphold guest service standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments to enhance service quality.

Oversee accountability measures to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines, company policies, departmental standards, and legal requirements.

Establish and monitor both short-term and long-term departmental objectives, reporting any concerns that may impact future success.

Continuously assess staffing levels based on business needs and provide recommendations for optimization.

Address guest service inquiries professionally and promptly to ensure positive resolutions.

Conduct daily room inspections to verify adherence to sanitation and quality standards by Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants.

Provide training to Housekeeping Floor Managers to maintain consistent quality assurance in room inspections.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with all departments.

Collaborate with Scheduling Attendants to ensure that position bidding processes within the assigned area comply with company policies and timelines.

Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other necessary meetings.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in Housekeeping in a supervisor/manager role.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

3+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Supervisory experience in a major hotel/resort complex.

1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Supervisory experience in a Union (bargaining unit) property.

Proficient in Housekeeping Software including HotSOS, Opera, Amadeus, and Excel.
