Assistant Exhibitor Sales and Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

This position reports to both the Associate Director of Sales and Exhibitor Sales/Marketing Manager, and markets, sells and manages the sales of food and beverage to exhibitor and affiliate clients associated with events booked into the facility, and not charged to the main event client.  This position will work directly with client(s) to ensure proper food and beverage service throughout the selling cycle.

Effectively market via numerous avenues to gain incremental revenue throughtelemarketinge-mail blastswebsite advertisementOnline orderingDoor Dash partnership  Manage online ordering system and databaseEncourage and promote on-site ordering of catering servicesDevise exciting and creative new exhibitor catering optionsDevelop a room-service type booth attendant programCreate new marketing materials, catering packet booth information flyersUp-sell existing standard catering menusWork with Exhibitor Sales/Marketing Manager Catering Sales Managers to develop eventInitial client contact; thank you letters and final billingTransfer client catering specifications into Savor catering program: Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), contracts, payment; event analysis.Obtain client’s signature on all Savor required paperwork.Follow-up with client(s) as needed to ensure final payment on their accountContinually interact with clients; liaison to client/booth contactWORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and sit; the employee frequently is required to stand.  The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Base Salary:

$70,000 - $75,000 per year
