About the Role:
One of the Key Officers for the Town Council, as prescribed under the Town Councils ActPreparation of financial statements and management reportsPreparing audits schedules and liaise with external auditors during the yearly auditsStatutory reporting on compliancePreparation and monitoring of budgetsFollow-up on auditors' recommendations and implementing of control measures in day-to-day operations to reduce any internal control weaknessesChecking of accuracy of payments vouchers and adjustment journalsTaxation computation and submission (Income Tax, GST and Property Tax)Reconciliation of GFL accounts and Bank ReconciliationPreparation and submission of Arrears Reports for Internal and external reportingGovernment Grants Claim Computation and submissionEnsure accurate and timely transfer of fund from Operating Fund to Sinking Fund and List Replacement FundFixed Assets managementInsurance administrationQuotation administrationAbout You:
Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred).At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing.Experience in public sector, Town Councils, or real estate/property management is an advantage.Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and audit processes.Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Why join Cushman & Wakefield?
