Assistant Food and Beverage Director
Esplanade Lakewood Ranch is excited to announce the exceptional opportunity of Assistant Food and Beverage Director. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. The Assistant Food and Beverage Director will assist the Food and Beverage Director in overseeing all aspects of the club’s food and beverage operations. This role will ensure the highest quality of service and efficiency, focusing on member satisfaction and operational excellence. The position requires leadership in managing day-to-day functions, staff training, and enhancing the overall dining experience at Esplanade Lakewood Ranch. The Assistant Director will also contribute to financial goals, event planning, and menu development.

Key Responsibilities: Support the Food and Beverage Director in all operations, including dining services, banquets, events, and bar services. Ensure high standards of service and product quality, maintaining the club’s reputation for excellence. Supervise, train, and motivate food and beverage team members, fostering a positive working environment. Assist in scheduling, staffing, and resource management to meet operational needs. Collaborate with the culinary team and F&B Director on menu development and event planning. Implement and monitor operational standards, service protocols, and health and safety compliance. Drive member engagement through exceptional service and feedback management. Assist in maintaining budgets, managing costs, and driving profitability. Participate in staff performance reviews, hiring processes, and disciplinary actions. Act as a liaison between management, staff, and club members to ensure effective communication and service consistency.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a private club or high-end hospitality setting. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams. Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage trends, including service and safety standards. Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Experience with event planning and execution. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
