Position will serve as Assistant Freeway Program Manager for Division 10. Will assist in managing, planning, and supervision of maintenance activities and force account construction for Interstate routes in Division 10 in accordance with established policies and procedures. Knowledge of the principles of civil engineering and highway methods and techniques. Considerable knowledge of the use and operation of all field and office engineering instruments; ability to understand, explain, and administer contracts; ability to interpret plans, provisions and specifications; ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations; and ability to establish work relationships between the Department and citizens. Must have the ability to prepare and organize written reports according to the documentation standards and requirements. This position must have the ability to act as a representative to the media on maintenance issues within Division 10. Work may include other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
