Overview of the role 

The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Front Office Manager by overseeing daily front office operations, which include the Front Dest Agents and Valet, Guest Services, and the Front Desk. This role ensures smooth front desk functions, delivers exceptional guest experiences, and maintains high service standards. The Assistant Front Office Manager will collaborate closely with the Front Office Manager to foster a culture of excellence, empower the team, and consistently exceed guest expectations. This individual will also serve as a role model, demonstrating professional behavior and leading the front desk team to success.

What you have 

Associate’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.

Two (2) years of Hotel Front Desk management experience.

Exceptional customer service skills with a guest-first mindset.

Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints effectively.

Knowledge of hotel operations, including reservations, front desk, and guest services.

Knowledge of safety and security procedures in a hotel environment is a plus.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


What you’ll do 

Operational Management

Oversee daily front desk operations.

Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Front Office Manager.

Monitor and manage guest check-in and check-out processes.

Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the front desk and lobby areas.

Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Staff Management & Training

Assist in training staff on front desk procedures, service standards, and hotel systems.

Lead and empower the front office team to deliver exceptional service.

Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new front office staff.

Guest Services

Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving issues promptly.

Anticipate guest needs and deliver outstanding service.

Work with other hotel departments to meet guest needs seamlessly.

Actively review and respond to guest feedback across various platforms.

Knowledge & Confidentiality

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities, room types, rates, and services.

Ensure staff uphold guest confidentiality and adhere to training and information protocols.

Assist with other related tasks as reasonably assigned by management.
