As Assistant General Counsel- Privacy, you will support the day-to-day operations of Guardian’s Data Strategy & Security Practice. You will be a central and critical role in providing legal advice to business partners regarding the collection, use and sharing of personal information. You will also ensure the appropriate escalation of and clarify privacy-related deliverables throughout the enterprise, including regular engagement with Guardian’s senior management. The ability to influence and drive proactive partnership in a changing business environment is critical. You will develop cross-business connections, provide industry perspective and best practices guidance while considering long-term outcomes and the needs of partners/clients when providing advice. This role will report to the Associate General Counsel, Privacy, Data Strategy & Security, Intellectual Property practice group.

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the various privacy subject areas gained in insurance and/or financial services positions.JD and licensed to practice law in New York.Experience with developing and implementing privacy programs, including interaction with executives, adversaries, and regulatory personnel.Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations.Ability to address complex and challenging issues and communicate effectively with business leaders at all levels to optimize risk management, productivity, and communication.Ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on, fast-paced environment and respond to questions from business areas and a complex subsidiary organization.Respect for diversity and ideas of others, willingness to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment and motivation skills are required.Demonstrated leadership ability in an organizational setting, corporation integrity and strong interpersonal skills are essential to success.Strong project management skills.Excellent analytical ability, problem-solving and leadership skills.Outstanding written and verbal communications skills are essential.Location & Travel:
The primary location for this position is Hudson Yards, NY - Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days WFHALess than 10% Travel required for this positionSalary Range$174,760.00 - $287,102.50The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
