Assistant General Managers oversee all aspects of in-store operations, including but not limited to staffing/scheduling, food safety, inventory/stock ordering, COGS management, cash handling and brand compliance. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for ensuring the store is in exceptional order and that all employees are performing duties properly and efficiently. Assistant General Managers must be self-motivated individuals who have superior leadership skills and execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity. Prior experience as an Assistant or General Manager in food service is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

Provide continual direction and feedback to workers during shiftsSchedule employee shifts and assign duties while managing your labor goalTrain and coach all new employees including Assistant Managers, In-Shop Sandwich Makers and Delivery DriversAssist with recruiting and hiring the right talent to grow our team Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to your area directorPlace accurate vendor orders and conduct weekly inventoryReview the stores P&L statement and making appropriate budgeting decisionsCheck cash drawers and prepare bank depositsConduct pay-outs to delivery drivers upon the end of their shiftEnsure health and safety standards are followedAddress customer and employee complaintsResolve conflicts between workersFoster and maintain a positive work environmentHandle fast-paced and high stress situations in the store

Skills:

Ability to work a 50+ hour weekAt least 18 years of age, with valid driver license and clean driving recordPrior experience as an Assistant or General Manager in food serviceProficiently operate a commercial slicerMust be able to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly throughout shiftsAbility to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shiftAbility to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° FHave a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe AcrobatComplete Jimmy John Manager Certification TrainingFood Safety- Become ServSafe CertifiedCompany Introduction
