Position OverviewUnder the guidance of the GIS Implementation Manager, the Assistant GIS Implementation Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting technical solutions that align with project requirements and organizational goals. This role demands close collaboration with team members, leveraging a deep understanding of electrical utility workflows to ensure successful project outcomes and continuous improvement The position emphasizes mentorship by fostering the growth and development of team members, and actively identifying and nurturing the next generation of talent. It requires the ability to effectively lead and support a remote team, ensuring engagement and productivity in virtual work environments. As a key leader, the Assistant GIS Implementation Manager provides guidance, strategic insight, and hands-on support to promote innovation and achieve shared objectives.
Job Duties • Project Development: Perform various tasks related to GIS and related technologies, staff development, client relations, proposal writing, scope determination, scheduling, and project assessments to assist in budget documentation.
• Project Guidance: Collaborate with Solutions Architects and the GIS Implementation Manager to guide project setups, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational standards.
• Workflow Design: Design, implement, and test project workflows to meet specific project objectives while adhering to established processes.
• Team Support: Assist team members with technical challenges, providing training and troubleshooting as needed to foster efficient project execution.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain databases to support project needs, ensuring data integrity and alignment with Davey workflows.
• GIS Administration: Administer ArcGIS platforms, including Enterprise, Portal, and Online, while publishing and maintaining web services to support project requirements.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of database schemas, workflows, QA/QC processes, and deliverables to standardize project execution.
• Process Automation: Develop scripts and tools using Python, SQL, and ModelBuilder to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for hardware and software setups, including cloud-based solutions, to ensure seamless project implementation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with office and field teams to address project needs and maintain alignment across all stakeholders.
• Davey Workflow Expertise: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Davey workflows, systems, and methodologies to support consistent project delivery.

Desired Skills and Abilities
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of the ESRI product line, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Desktop/Pro.

Required Credentials/Experience
• Prior experience working remotely and managing hybrid team members
• GIS Certifications: GISP or ESRI Enterprise certifications.
• Experience in developing web applications and automating workflows with Python, ModelBuilder, or SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS , Google.
