Overview
Blue Yonder is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic Assistant Global Controller who can bring the perfect mix of experience, technical accounting background, and collaboration to help scale a best-in-class accounting organization. Reporting to the CVP Global Controller, the Assistant Global Controller will work closely with senior leadership to manage accounting operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support strategic financial initiatives. To be successful in this role, you should possess strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally. The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and work well with a diverse team.
Location: Hybrid role in our Scottsdale, AZ or Dallas, TX office
What You’ll Do:
Partner closely with the Controller, assisting in all areas of Controllership as well as any ad-hoc needs to support the team, cross-functional partners, new business initiatives, or acquisition integration effortsOversee the day-to-day accounting operations and lead the execution of the month-end close process for the corporate accounting team, including management of account reconciliations, month-end close tasks and fluctuation analyses. Leading a team of 40+ across Corporate Accounting, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Leases, AP and Regional AccountingOversee management of international subsidiaries to ensure compliance with local regulations and reporting requirementsManage internal and external auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient mannerWork cross-functionally with External Reporting, Associate Success, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, etc., to support business initiatives, collaborate on close activities, and align on financial reporting goalsPartner with SOX PMO to develop a robust 2nd line of defense for internal controls over financial reporting Evaluate, develop, implement, and maintain a system of internal control policies and procedures across the accounting organization as well as its upstream dependencies Ensure adherence to U.S. SOX controls, including all required documentation and testingProvide leadership for a seasoned team of accounting professionals, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging process automation and the use of systems to drive efficiencyLead accounting operational involvement in system implementations, maintenance, and upgrades as neededCoordinate with the External Reporting team on technical accounting issues to determine the proper approach to operational accounting for non-standard transactionsParticipate on special projects undertaken by the department and/or Blue YonderWhat We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceRelevant certification (e.g., CPA) preferredBig-4 public accounting and industry experience with large publicly traded companiesExtensive experience in accounting, ideally at the Director level or above for a U.S. publicly traded company, enterprise SaaS experience a big plusA collaborative leadership style, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement at all levelsExperience leading large global teams through change with a positive attitudeExcellent critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot at a detailed levelStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a globally distributed environmentExposure to global accounting operations and compliance activitiesDeep experience leveraging finance ERPs and reporting systems such as Workday and other associated finance systems (Blackline, Shareworks, Audit Board, etc.)Pre-and-post IPO experience is a strong plus, with a focus on uplifting processes and automatingExperience with developing and maintaining a robust control environment, in line with the Sarbanes-Oxley frameworkStrong understanding of U.S. GAAPExposure to technical accounting, and SEC reporting to be able to partner closely with our External Reporting team-------------------------------------------
The base salary range for this position is $190,000.00-$240,000.00

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
