Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
The part-time assistant coach will work with the head coach to develop and maintain a positive student-athlete experience that focuses on student-athlete development, building an inclusive culture, recruiting elite prospective student-athletes, and contributing positively to the College’s Athletic Department. The coach will help create purpose and value to the College’s and the Athletic Department’s missions.
This is a term/part-time non-exempt, not benefits-eligible, 15 – 20 hours/week (February – May).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Coaching: Work with specific student-athlete sub-groups, plan practices, conduct video/technical analysis, hold team and individual meetings, and focus on skill development and team culture building.
+ Recruiting: Collaborate with the head coach and enrollment office to identify and recruit high-level student-athletes, represent the college at recruiting events, and communicate with prospective students and their families.
+ Operations: Assist with travel planning, equipment management, facility maintenance, and other tasks assigned by the head coach.
+ Student Support: Monitor student-athlete academic success and guide as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
+ 6 months or more of related experience
+ Strong work ethic and exceptional organizational skills.
+ Understanding of or experience with the unique environment of a residential, liberal arts college.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment to achieve shared goals.
+ Proven leadership skills, including inspiring, motivating, and guiding individuals or teams while exhibiting confidence, accountability, and professionalism in decision-making and representation.
+ Commitment to and appreciation for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
