 Salary: £11.80 to £12.30 an hour - 39 Hours a week

Position Summary:

\n

· Responsible for maintaining the golf course to ensure attractive, clean appearance.

\n

· Operates power mowers, fly mowers and string trimmers.

\n

· Fills divots, edges bunkers and cart paths in line with the visions of the Head Greenkeeper.

\n

· Engage with guests in a polite and friendly manner, consistently demonstrating great customer service

\n

· As a Greenkeeper you will work 5 days per week, mainly on a Monday-Friday basis.

\n

· Shifts pattern is usually 6.30am-2.30pm

\n

Responsible for presenting all garden, planted/shrubbery and lawned areas at the hotel to the highest standards through orthodox gardening practices, in line with the visions of the Head Greenkeeper.

\n

 To be aware of Health and Safety requirements noting that all duties must be carried out to comply with current Health and Safety at Work legislation.

\n

Prerequisites:

\n

Self motivated, enthusiastic, fit and capable of heavy work.  Able to work in all weather conditions and able to use powered machinery.

\n

 Duties and Responsibilities:

\n\n Soil cultivation, digging and forking, mulching, watering, raking, edging, pruning of shrubs, seed sowing, bed preparation and planting.\nThe use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery.\nThe use of cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers and hedge cutters.\nPlant and transplant flowers, shrubs and trees.\nPrune trees and hedges in ways that help the plants health, are safe and aesthetically pleasing.\nMaintain ornamental laws using machinery.\nTo keep all garden areas, public areas, thoroughfares, car parks and footpaths clear and free from litter and any other debris at all times.\nMaintain the health of summer hanging baskets through regular watering and dead heading.\n\n
