Responsibilities Learn and understand external/internal customer’s requirementsSet up and maintain 5S projects to enhance the moral, development, and external view of the department by our internal and external customersFollow full truckload guidelines accurately and timely as instructedUnderstand that professional conduct is expected at all timesUnderstand and adhere to all ISO/SQF guidelines and policiesFollow unloading guidelines accurately and timely as instructedFollow LTL, UPS, Fedex, and DHL Shipment Guidelines as instructedAssist in monthly department meetings as neededSupport all training in the department using ISO training checklist criteriaUnderstand and enact shutdown procedures during holidays and other times when warehouses will be closed for an extended periodHave the availability to work any shift and cover for vacations as neededPerform any other required task as directedManage employees effectively to ensure work is completed while maintaining a comfortable and balanced work environmentEnsure all safety procedures are communicated and followed to protect life and propertyReport maintenance concerns to the appropriate parties for correctionsInvestigate, verify, and report inventory discrepanciesInitiate pre-shift meetings within the department and provide opportunity for weekly team meetings as neededShare daily safety talks with the department with material supplied by EHS DeptReport and correct any unsafe or potential unsafe conditionsAUTHORITIES
Assist with department goals, metrics tracking, and reportingTrack and verify completion of all inbound shipmentsUnderstand and support C Pro documentation and requirements for the departmentTrack and follow up on in discrepancies regarding Time-off-Task and departmental metrics as neededInsure compliance of forklift safety checklistTrack and submit all EHS required documentation as needed to meet and exceed departmental metricsInvestigate and report all near misses and accidentsReview Kronos timekeeping for all team members on shiftInsure proper alignment of labor to required workload to insure department metrics are being followedProvide detailed documentation of any and all disciplinary actions and/or employee coaching Qualifications High school diploma / GED equivalentAbility to work in an inclusive and diverse environmentMust be Berry Forklift CertifiedMust be able to meet all of the above responsibilities to perform the jobSupport and be an example of Berry Code of Respect and Berry Values to all employeesStrong organizational skills such as placement of labor requirements to meet demands, storage of materials, layout of warehouses, and providing office efficiencyProvide knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software applicationsProven skill in JDE and DcLink applicationsTraining and/or proven proficiency in written and verbal communication skillsAbility to delegate and give direction as neededAbility to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to othersMust not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousnessHearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns on forkliftsStereoptic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10-12 point font at a distance of 12-18 inchesAbility to lift 45 pounds at a minimum of 10 times per hourAbility to lift 45 pounds over shoulder height a minimum of 10 times per hourAble to work in extremes of heat / cold Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
