Job Description
Assistant Groups Reservations Manager
As an Assistant Groups Reservations Manager you will be responsible for all groups’ bookings and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Reservations department – ensuring that all systems and procedures identified in the reservations process are completed.
Your key duties will be as follows:
Responsible for all group bookings, from initial inquiry to finalization, ensuring correct pricing, exceptional service and satisfaction throughout the process.Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, event planners, and travel agents, to drive repeat business.Track and report on groups’ sales performance, including booking trends, updates, any historical patterns and circumstances which may negatively impact availability/ revenue during groups review meetings with Front Office, Revenue and Sales teams.Proactively monitor upcoming events, conferences to identify potential group sales opportunities.Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the reservations team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the reservations department, ensuring efficient and effective workflow processes.Support the training and development of reservations staff to enhance their skills and performance.Qualifications
Experience in hotel reservations or a similar role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.Positive can-do attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Confident and engaging telephone manner.Working knowledge of OPERA CLOUD PMS system is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
