The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club is seeking an experienced individual to join its agronomy team as Assistant Horticulturist.

Here is what you will be doing:

Helping the Horticultural staff oversee and participate in the daily completion of work assignments being done by fellow crew members. Helping assist with field decisions regarding job procedures and work standards and machinery use. Application of fertilizers and pesticides to turf and ornamental flower beds along with detailed record-keeping of treated areas Routinely scouting for issues and problems as they occur: (i.e. disease, insect damage, irrigation needs, and weed infestation.) Leads guides and directs employees in the maintenance of ornamental flower beds Application of supplemental water as needed  Ability to interact professionally with cabin owners and fellow employees as well as vendors and suppliers

Qualifications we are looking for:

High school education required, college degree preferred. 1 year golf course maintenance experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends. Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
