Assistant Hospital Manager
About The Opportunity The Assistant Manager is responsible for helping oversee daily operations, leading and mentoring a team of employees, maintaining a safe environment, and providing the best customer experience to our Pet Parents. **What this job entails...** Works with Area Manager to ensure the employees and clients are supported and cared for. Skills needed will be in team and client relations, communication, high emotional intelligence, records maintenance, professionalism, leadership and compassion for pets and people. Some responsibilities will be: + Assist Area Manager in planning and executing Customer service functions + Assist in resolving employee concerns + Act as a liaison between front office and other departments + Plan and coordinate and daily workload + Supervise and coach team in providing outstanding and empathetic service to clients + Assist and ensure the team addresses customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally + Prevent escalated clients and resolve client concerns in a compassionate and professional manner. + Help organize job training and team building and customer service skills + Provide back-up assistance to team when needed or when short + Identify and resolve problems that affect customer service quality and efficiency + Handle high volume of calls and remains calm and efficient under pressure. + Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40lbs + Please note that positions can require flexible schedules, weekends, and some holidays. **Experience / Education:** + 3 years of experience in veterinary client service and conflict resolution + 2 years experience in supervisor/leadership role + High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, undergraduate degree preferred **What We Value…** + _Compassion_ + _Experience_ + _Forward-thinking_ **You will be successful in this role if you...** + Exude operational excellence, including the ability to problem solve within your work and the work of your team in a fast paced, high-pressure environment. + Effectively manage and motivate those you are leading, rallying the team around common goals. + Business oriented to assist the Operations Manager with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and more! + Are an animal-savvy individual interested in helping care for the dogs entrusted to us. + You’re driven and committed, ensuring meticulous and excellent care is given to each dog. + Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels and positions. + Demonstrate strong organizational skills to keep yourself and your team accountable for meeting deadlines, milestones, and operational expectations.
