Assistant Hydrogeologist - Environmental Services (Kansas City)

The Assistant Hydrogeologist will support multi-disciplinary teams working on groundwater flow, contaminant transport, water resources investigations and water management problems for multiple clients in the fields of industrial/commercial, oil and gas, energy, and municipal, State, and Federal Governments. This position will assist with technical issues on projects in a variety of locations.


What you will do:

Assist in the writing of work plans for evaluating groundwater and groundwater resources.Assist in preparing and performing investigations of unsaturated (vadose zone) and saturated groundwater flow, surface water flow and contaminant transport including installation of borings and wells, and generating of field reports such as geologic and hydrogeologic logs, Assist in groundwater flow, well and well field analysis and design.Assist with the characterization of flow and transport of contaminants in groundwater and surface water.Assist in generating vadose zone and groundwater models and 3D hydrogeological visualization for groundwater projects.Assist in the design and field data collection activities for hydrogeologic testing such as slug testing, pumping tests, tracer tests, and transducer studies, and others.Evaluate and analyze aquifer performance test data and hydraulic and water quality data using industry standard processes and procedures.Assist with writing technical reports, technical specifications, and permit applications.Compile technical data to be presented to leadership and clients.Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
