An Assistant IT Manager with Hilton Hotels will be responsible for the day-to-day support of IT systems for business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephony systems throughout the hotels. This is a cluster role overseeing 4 hotels in the Norther Territory including Darwin and Alice Springs ( offering remote support )

What will I be doing?
As Assistant IT Manager, you will support the IT Department in its efforts to ensure the quality and delivery of IT systems for all four Hilton Worldwide properties in the Northern Territory, taking care of both the hotel and its Guests. These efforts will be fulfilled timely, within budget, and in accordance with IT operating standards. Specifically, the Assistant IT Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards
Provide 1st level IT support & maintain network user accounts
\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve all problems encountered with hardware and software. Escalate requests to the appropriate party, as needed. Replace or repair defective parts and equipment\nMaintain Server backup solutions \nKeep track of all changes performed on the system and network\nProvide day-to-day support for all internal hotel IT systems and users, minimizing any system outages\nRecord all issues that arise and advise the IT Manager of any issues that need further attention\nCommunicate with the hotel Operations Team to respond to any Guest-related IT requirements/issues\nMonitor and remove virus, spyware, and other non-authorized software \nMonitor and Manage IT Compliance\nComplete special projects as requested \nWhat are we looking for?
An Assistant IT Manager serving Hilton Worldwide Brand hotels and vacations are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow
Previous IT experience, preferably in the hotel, leisure, and/or service sector
\n\n\n1 to 3 years demonstrated experience in an IT Support role.
\n\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills
\n\n\nTertiary Qualifications in Information Technology or related field (or relevant industry experience)
\n\n\nExperience in Microsoft Technologies (Windows 7, Server 2008 and MS Office)
\n\n\nExperience of hotel applications, such as OnQ PM and Agilysys POS (preferred)
\n\n\nThe ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional customer service is required.
\n\n\nDemonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills required.
\n\nA can do attitude with the ability to work in a fast paced / multi Business Unit environment\n\n
