How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

This position is primarily responsible for the performance, quality, and support of the 2nd Shift Production team at the Cherry Hill facility, including production scheduling, training and development, and quality control of medical and specialty gases, in compliance with established specifications.Work safely at all times, continuously promote our safety culture, and maintain a safe working environment for all associatesReview of manufacturing and quality control documents to assess compliance to quality procedures, standards and product specificationPerform analyses of gases using analytical instrumentation as requiredDirect oversight of routine production testing and quality control analysis of specialty gas mixtures and pure gasesReview production records and release medical gas products in accordance with Airgas standard operating proceduresSupport management team with regard to FDA, DOT, HSE, QMS, and ISO programs.Monitor bulk delivery lead times and effectively prioritize workloads.Assist in the qualification and maintenance of laboratory standards including proper inventory, labeling, and documentationAssist in the set up and maintenance of laboratory instrumentsKeep maintenance records for laboratory instruments per Airgas SOPsPerform general maintenance and troubleshooting on assigned instrumentsMaintain records for instrument calibrations and preventive maintenanceAid in purchasing of lab supplies, production equipment, and PPEUnderstand and follow safe handling procedures for hazardous materialsParticipate in the audit process (Internal and external) including audit preparation effortsCoordinate and complete action plans for Non-Conformances and Corrective ActionsCollect and analyze data for trend reportingManage and coordinate the internal management of change process Participate in investigations and closure of customer complaints including corrective actions and preventative measures to ensure continuous improvement.Control of documentation in compliance with Airgas standards and proceduresAssist 2nd Shift Supervisor as needed with truck reconciliation and loading for shipmentsProvide support to other areas of the plant as required________________________Are you a MATCH?

Associates degree in Chemistry or related field required or 1-3 years of relevant experience in an industrial environment.Knowledge and understanding of analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, and statistical methods.Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills (both written and spoken)Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS).Ability to coordinate efforts with multiple departments.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and customers.
