**Location: West Sacramento, CA** **Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM** **Position Overview:** + The Assistant Lab Technician will work as part of the Operations team, specializing in sample receiving and accessioning. This role involves handling specimens, ensuring proper documentation, and supporting laboratory processes. The candidate will play a key role in customer satisfaction, quality control, and efficient laboratory workflows. **Key Responsibilities:** + Specimen Handling: Receive and properly accession laboratory specimens. Prepare specimens for testing and facilitate them to appropriate workflows. + Data Management: Enter and verify sample information in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Scan and manage documentation to support testing activities. + Documentation Review: Review test requisition forms and shipment manifests to ensure they match received samples. Resolve discrepancies by coordinating with team members. + Customer Support: Act as the primary customer contact for laboratory tests, including clinical, pharmaceutical, and clinical trial testing. Maintain a complaint log and escalate issues to leadership as necessary. + Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on deliverables and partner with colleagues for additional QC when required. Ensure accurate logs for samples currently undergoing testing. + Shipping and Training: Support incoming and outgoing sample shipments.
