Assistant Machine Operator

Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as needed):

Assists Operator with operating the production equipment.  For short periods, may oversee production in Operator’s absence. Complete paperwork and data entry, as directed.Assist Operator with product testing.Product handling.Perform required testing including visual inspection, for each product following established procedures.Staging material.Packaging of products.Complete housekeeping tasks by end of shift (6S tasks).Follow established quality standards and procedures.Perform job tasks in a safe manner.Assist Operator with other duties as directed by Operator.

Qualifications:

Production or machine operating experience preferred.  Experience in plastics, lamination, or roll goods a plus.General production labor experience preferred.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Mathematic skills (add, subtract, divide, decimals, percentage’s).  Take accurate measurements with a rule or tape measure.Able to lift up to 50 lbs.Computer familiarity.Must be a team player; take initiative; follow through with tasks/projects; attention to detail; have a genuine interest in learning the processes.Available to work overtime, as needed.Ability to operate lift trucks; cranes; hoists; Big Joe’s, etc.Ability to read and follow all specifications and procedures.Interpersonal skills (teamwork, motivation/commitment, flexibility, effective use of time).
