Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Risk Management team. This position will be based in the Lexington, KY office.

Who we want… (Requirements)
The successful candidate must have bachelors’ degree and at least three (3) years’ experience in corporate insurance risk management, whether in-house or with an insurance agency or brokerage. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Experience in construction or design/engineering industry is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate should be a self-motivated individual with strong analytical, financial, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. They must be able to use critical thinking to effectively solve problems and must possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a high demand, rapid paced environment, managing several open items concurrently and reprioritizing based on project or team needs.
Hybrid work is acceptable.
What we expect… (Essential Functions)
Working with Director of Corporate Risk, this position will assist in managing the administration and maintenance of Gray’s property and casualty insurance programs. The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with day-to-day interactions with various Gray companies, other internal support teams, brokers and insurers related to Gray’s insurance and risk management matters.
• Lead the coordination and management of annual insurance renewals and audits, including compilation of data and assessment for accuracy, and evaluation of terms and premium.
• Review policies for accuracy and maintain document control and organization.
• Maintain exposure logs for current and historical record keeping.
• Analyze and understand insurable operational risks and potential risk mitigation opportunities; educate and interact with various internal team members and companies to ensure coordination between the companies’ operations, exposures, costs, and appropriate insurance coverage.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, insurance brokers, and other stakeholders regarding risk management strategies and programs.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in risk management processes and
strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of trends in the construction industry, including thorough working knowledge of insurance products, coverage, and pricing.
• Work with other member of risk management team on special projects and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
