Assistant Manager, Site Merchandising – Onsite: Tampa, FL


What Will You Do?

The Site Merchandising Assistant is accountable for supporting the eCommerce Merchandising team in maximizing the Company’s business through the development and implementation of web-based merchandise placement strategies that address customer needs across multiple categories. This involves supporting the creation and implementation of a robust online merchandising, content and product placement/navigation strategy, supporting the outside vendor program for product merchandising and assisting in devising compelling marketing and promotions programs. This position will help attain the Company’s goals of increasing product volume, customer acquisition and conversion and sales.

Primary Responsibilities

· Implement a compelling, well-balanced merchandising, product placement and navigation strategy to support the achievement of product volume and financial objectives. Continuously improve site presentation and experience through the coordination of rich content requests and timely storefront refreshes.

· Assist in the research of consumer behavioral characteristics, fashion trends, retail landscape and other relevant data and provide recommendations for improved website look, feel and functionality.

· Analyze traffic patterns and keep record of customer behavior and shopping patterns; share information and provide recommendations for updates and changes to the website.

· Assist in determining appropriate competitive strategies to drive product conversion and reduce return rates and to ensure the Company is a category value leader.

· Ensure digital focus and execution, as well as continuity between digital and brick-and-mortar spaces by aligning colors, graphics, advertising, etc.

· Accurately enter product data into site merchandising systems and reconcile inventory for third-party partners.

· Assist in communication between the business and technical teams to implement new site functionality and enhancements. Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

 

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Merchandising or related field or equivalent work experience, Required

• Knowledge of an enterprise web analytics platform, such as Adobe Omniture or Googly Analytics

• Experience with ecommerce systems/reports

• Knowledge of ecommerce and/or web-based retailing

• Strong skill in database or spreadsheet-based navigation or manipulation

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel, internet

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills, time management and organizational skills

• Work independently as well as in a team environment

• Document management system

• Analytical and problem solving skills. Strong attention to detail

• Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment

• Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
