Overview
To assist with developing, managing and directing activities related to increasing business through the implementation of innovative strategic initiatives focused on optimizing growth. Oversee the analysis, development, and modifications of business practices to improve efficiencies, solicit new business, promote the brand, develop new products, services and partnerships.
Develop, manage and direct activities designed to improve member and user experience projects supporting new processes and efficiency, as well as new partnerships and communication.
Leverage quantitative and qualitative member data and feedback to drive innovative solutions in support of the member experience. Ensure the design and implementation of new solutions and systems are properly aligned to meet strategic initiatives and applicable rules and regulations. Assist and support executive management in developing and executing strategic plans. Act as Manager in the incumbent’s absence.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with developing and ensuring business growth innovation and strategy is consistent with the strategic goals of the department/division
+ Manage and direct a team of multi-disciplinary Security operations strategists supporting department-wide initiatives and collaborating with channel partners and business support functions to drive key strategic initiatives
+ Manage relationships with vendors to achieve division and corporate goals/objectives to include system functionality, performance, and contract negotiations
+ Lead innovation and strategy efforts by leveraging industry best practices, partnership support, and the member’s point-of- view to drive a culture of continuous member experience improvement
+ Develop, implement, and evaluate change management strategies and solutions and consult with senior leadership
+ Define desirable, viable, and sustainable solutions that addresses member needs, while supporting development across and throughout product life cycle
+ Ensure processes and procedures align with strategic business initiatives, achieve business objectives, improve the quality of service, and mitigate risk
+ Build relationships with/between internal and external business partners to refine, clarify, document, and communicate roles and responsibilities to achieve business goals
+ Work with internal stakeholders to provide insight into analysis of competitor and market trends; evaluate findings and data to determine action necessary to drive or improve performance standards
+ Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure solicitations/promotions requirements are provided within service provider systems
+ Assist with managing partnership analytics to guide future business decisions
+ Develop metrics, monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities for product/program enhancement and increased market penetration
+ Oversee vendor RFI/RFP and contract activities ensuring completeness of business requirements and delivery expectations
+ Seek new opportunities to build additional external business partnerships for expansion, and/or depth of product and service offerings
+ Determine feasibility of implementing new partnerships/business ideas by identifying potential risks and other impacts on business growth and development of strategic plans, initiatives and goals
+ Develop metrics, monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities for product/program enhancement and increased market penetration
+ Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and NFCU
+ Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities
+ Ensure adequate/skilled staffing; select employees
+ Establish performance goals and priorities
+ Prepare, conduct, and review performance appraisals
+ Develop, mentor and counsel staff
+ Provide input and/or prepare budget requirements for Annual Financial Plan (AFP)
+ Ensure section/branch goals and objectives align with division/department strategy
+ Ensure efficiency of operations
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
+ Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
+ Extensive experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
+ Strong people management skills
+ Significant experience in business case development for cross-organizational initiatives
+ Experience in leading change management activities
+ Advanced knowledge of conflict resolution concepts, tools, and techniques to address business, vendor and managerial issues
+ Advanced knowledge of business partnership development related to joint ventures/acquisitions, regulations, best practices/standards
+ Advanced knowledge of financial industry trends, products and services, technology, and regulations
+ Advanced skill using innovative thinking to solve problems and facilitate the decision-making process
+ Advanced skill interacting with staff, management, vendors, and members diplomatically and tactfully
+ Advanced skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation
+ Advanced skill in the analysis of technical issues in order to recommend, develop and/or implement strategies and achieve objectives
+ Advanced analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships
+ Advanced skill leading and guiding multi-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate outcomes
+ Advanced skill influencing and building consensus with business partners
+ Strong analytical/quantitative, reconciliation and deductive reasoning skills
+ Advanced verbal and written communication skills
+ Advanced database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills
Desired Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
+ Demonstrated experience using industry best practices and partnering with experts to improve Member (MX) and/or User Experience (UX)
+ Experience working with systems teams to achieve automation capabilities
+ Knowledge of NFCU's functions, philosophy, products, and services
+ Experience in applications/systems analysis, workflow, or procedural analysis
+ Significant experience leading large projects/initiatives which have business risk and impact
+ Significant experience with leadership and management in diverse and complex operational environments
+ PMP certification
+ Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal’s functions, philosophy, operations, and organizational objectives
