**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting a positive working environment. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our store by leading, coaching, and developing our team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Leadership & Management:**
+ Assist in managing daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
+ Lead, train, and motivate a team of employees to maintain high standards of service and food quality.
+ Schedule staff according to business needs, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
+ **Customer Service:**
+ Ensure all customers receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
+ Handle customer complaints and issues effectively, turning negative experiences into positive outcomes.
+ **Operational Excellence:**
+ Monitor inventory levels, manage stock orders, and minimize waste.
+ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and operational standards.
+ Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to enhance store performance.
+ **Financial Performance:**
+ Assist in managing store budgets, labor costs, and profitability.
+ Participate in financial planning, sales forecasting, and cost control.
+ **Team Development:**
+ Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop staff through training programs.
+ Foster a culture of learning and development within the team.
+ **Marketing and Promotion:**
+ Support local store marketing initiatives to increase sales and brand awareness.
+ Engage with the community to enhance store visibility.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Experience:**
+ Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role preferred, in the food service or retail industry.
+ Proven track record in managing teams and operations.
+ **Skills:**
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
+ Basic math skills for inventory and cash management.
+ Proficiency in using POS and inventory management systems.
+ **Attributes:**
+ Passion for the Jimmy John's brand and commitment to quality.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ High level of integrity and professionalism.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks like bending, reaching, and stooping.
