**EXPECTATIONS OF AN ASSISTANT MANAGER** Purpose of job is to assist the manager in operating the store, training employees and executing all policies, procedures and programs. + Consistently gives 100%. + Always meets standards. Never cuts corners. + Leads by example. + Smiles and says please and thank you. + Has an excellent personal appearance. Never out of uniform. + Always arrives for work on time. + Treats other co-workers with respect and dignity. + Trains and develops co-workers. + Exercises loyalty to Management team. + Takes responsibility to see that store runs right instead of waiting to be told. + Is honest. + Communicates with the Manager daily, doesn’t wait for the Manager to ask. + Evaluates themselves as to where they are and where they need to be. + Realizes their attitude sets the tone for all the other co-workers. + Seeks out opportunities to learn and develop management skills. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: + Ensures all food and drinks served meets Sonics quality standards. + Ensures drive-in’s service standards are consistently met. + Manages food, paper, labor and other cost controls. + Immediately resolves guest complaints or requests in a respectful manner. Informs manager of guest issues. + Effectively directs crew in order to maintain service and quality. + Takes appropriate action to maintain compliance with the employee handbook, store policies and to maintain an environment free of harassment, discrimination and inappropriate behavior. + Immediately resolves employee concerns and complaints in a respectful manner. Informs the manager of complaints. + Follows cash handling policies. + Follows Sonics food safety program. + Is Serve Safe Certified. + Has passed the Red and Blue Assistant Manager Star Guides. + Ensures a safe working environment. + Complies with all state and federal laws. + Maintains an “Employer of Choice” environment.
