Assistant Manager - Accounts and Credit Control

The Assistant Manager - Accounts and Credit Control (OTC) will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, credit control, payroll and general ledger accounting, treasury back-office operations, and supporting tax compliance. This role involves maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring timely collections, handling intercompany transactions, and supporting business operations.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control:
+ Ensure timely accounting of collections and customer advances.
+ Maintain and reconcile customer ledgers in SAP.
+ Calculate and issue annual turnover discount (ARC) credit notes.
+ Prepare and process intercompany recharge invoices (KHD R&D, Service Technicians, Solutions Sales, etc.).
+ Raise equipment commissioning, Group warranty recharge invoices, vendors warranty claims based on warranty claims submitted by service operations.
+ Issue finance invoices and ensure proper GST e-invoicing compliance.
+ Monitor credit control and block order releases following approval process.
+ Manage customer invoice disputes, bad debt provisions, and write-off processes.
+ Conduct customer balance confirmations and reconciliations.
+ Follow up on overdue invoices, circulate AR reports, organize AR review meetings and coordinate with the sales & service team for time collection of o/s invoices.
Payroll & General Ledger Accounting:
+ Handle monthly payroll accounting, F&F settlements, and gratuity and pension payments.
+ Reconcile provident fund, income tax, professional tax, gratuity, LTA, and other employee benefits.
+ Manage accounting of pension liabilities as per actuarial valuation reports and maintain gratuity and superannuation trust accounts.
+ Conduct GL clearing, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
Treasury Back Office & Banking Operations:
+ Liaise with banks for transaction processing, issue of bank guarantees, and foreign currency hedging.
+ Process interbank fund transfers for tax payments.
+ Manage import payments (Form 15CA/15CB compliance).
+ Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and manage short-term bank deposits.
+ Handle bank account administration (opening, modification, signatory changes, closure).
Financial Closing & Audits:
+ Perform monthly accruals, sales cut-offs, and bad debt provisions as per company policies.
+ Reconcile warranty provisions and receivable, group confirmations, and intercompany matching.
+ Support quarterly/yearly audits and financial disclosures.
+ Maintain Internal Financial Control (IFC) documentation and compliance under the Companies Act, 2013.
Tax Compliance & Support:
+ Assist to reconcile customer TDS, TCS, and GST.
+ Assist in resolving customer GST invoicing and input tax credit issues.
+ Manage issuance and renewal of bank guarantees for tax assessments.
Business & Operations Support:
+ Assist in issuing customer advance/performance bank guarantees.
+ Support monthly management reports (MR) and service KPI reporting.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education & Experience:
+ CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
+ 3-4 years of work experience in accounts, credit control, and treasury management.
+ Experience in SAP (FICO module) and financial reporting.
Competencies:
+ Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, credit control, and payroll accounting.
+ Understanding of treasury functions, foreign exchange regulations, and GST compliance.
+ Proficiency in financial reconciliations and IFRS/GAAP standards.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams.
