Location: Morrisville, NY Category: Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation Posted On: Wed Sep 11 2024 Job Description: ASSISTANT MANAGER REPORTS TO: Senior Dining Services Manager DEPARTMENT: Seneca Dining Hall CLASSIFICATION: Salaried Non Exempt | GRADE: 106 I SALARY: $18.54 - $19.29/HOUR | SUPERVISES: FOH Staff Under the direction of Management, the Assistant Manager provides leadership and guidance to assigned employees through their daily routines and interacts with customers to make sure they have a satisfactory experience. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Ensures that staff is carrying out assignments as directed and in accordance with all Company policies and Food Service guidelines and to promote efficiency of operations + Delegate tasks to staff as necessary + During peak periods, maybe asked to perform all job functions of the staff they supervise + Assist Management with training of staff members + Handle all customer complaints and resolve them in a professional and timely manner + Complete the daily or nightly book work + Assist in monthly inventory + Assist in the daily requisition and ordering of products + Assist with maintaining production records in accordance with departmental procedures + Maintain a safe work environment y enforcing all safety standards + Receive and properly store product from vendors + Performs duties necessary to open or close unit as assigned + Responsible for reconciliation of the safe and cash drawers, daily deposits and change requests + Maintains the petty cash log and submits for reimbursement + Maintain a professional appearance + Maintain positive interactions with co-workers and customers so that efficient and quality service is provided + May be asked to work catering at other dining service locations and perform various duties as requested by the manager. These functions may be at assigned times other than your scheduled hours + Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE + High school graduate or equivalent + Two year degree preferred + Previous food service industry and customer service experience required + Computer knowledge helpful PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND DEMANDS + Exposure to hot, noisy, and poor ventilated areas; moderate to heavy lifting, of up to 50 lbs.; constant standing, bending, and walking; exposure to various types of food. + Must be available nights and weekends.
