Job Summary
To drive initiatives that improves the performance of Import and export and Logistics, it is crucial to strategize and deliver on the promised turnaround time for all shipments. This involves meticulous attention to details on documentation and Customs clearance. Coordination with the third-party Logistics is critical for negotiating with the Logistics Service Provider for Spot Rate Contract and with various agencies and govt bodies. In addition, maintain compliances, operational safety, and active participation in various audit processes.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Monitor Day to day activity of Imports and exports from start to end. Monitor and Improve the Performance for Forwarders/CHA’s/Transporters in line with the Custom Rules, regulations. Ensure effective and efficient service levels and make continuous improvement by reducing cost and improvement. Preparing MIS reports in excels for Freight forwarders/Transporters/CHA’s and arranging MBR’s and QBR’s. Preparing presentations in power point. Attending weekly calls with Asia Pacific. Assist with all aspects of reporting and achievements in line with the required outcomes of the business. Interact with the sales and support teams to deliver excellence in all matters relating to Logistics. Report commercial costs directly related to Logistics Activities. Support the strategic planning of the organization by developing plans and work processes for the department. Drive initiatives to bring continuous improvement in the Inbound and outbound logistics. Provide training, coaching, and develop the logistics. Supervise the development of employees in the department. Responsible to plan and achieve committed turnaround time for all shipments. Coordinate with Service provider for Logistics Service & Rate Contract.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Minimum 8 to 12 years' Proven experience in Import/ export and logistics, transport Management and Documentation. Expertise in driving initiatives to bring improvement in the EXIM department. Experience in logistics management. Well conversant with drop shipment Terms Procedures & Handling. Should be able to guide in handling various duty benefits Scheme. Well-versed with transporter, external customer for Handling, shipping Docs., E-way bill as per GST compliance. Good Exposure of optimization of logistics cost in various projects and monitoring service levels all the LSP’s Closely coordinating with Material handling agencies for smooth functioning of Logistics. Well conversant with MS office, word & PowerPoint and effectively communicate with Local & cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in supply chain management Additional qualification Multimodal logistics management will be an added advantage.
