Process Brief: Ownership & Funds

The Ownership & Funds group in Manila is comprised of multiple teams – (1) Financial Sponsors, (2) Holdings, (3) Stakes and (4) FactSet Funds. Collectively, the group aims to provide accurate, reliable quantitative financial market data while simultaneously pushing for continuous improvement on production, coverage, timeliness to our internal and external clientele. 

Holdings 

The Holdings Team in Manila collects and maintains Mutual Fund Holdings. The team is responsible for keeping track of mutual fund portfolios, which are publicly available or available via direct contact at the asset management firms managing the portfolios as well as the reference data associated to these funds. They also provide research and concordance support for various datasets and collection processes owned by other groups.  

Financial Sponsors 

The Financial Sponsor Team in Manila collects and maintains Institutional and Contact data for buy-side and sell-side firms. The team is responsible for keeping track of research analysts and investment personnel at these firms. They also provide research and concordance support for various datasets and collection processes owned by other groups.  

Global Stakes

The Global Stakes Team in Manila collects and maintains Stakes and Insider Ownership information in public companies in markets worldwide (ex- US, UK and Canada). The team is responsible for following and documenting the evolution of relevant sources and regulations in the different markets and it assists the Global Stakes QA team’s client supporting activity. 

FactSet Funds Metadata and Timseries  data feeds provide complete and accurate security, fund, and reference data across the universe of exchange-traded products. Data is sourced from ETF providers across the globe and includes more than 100 unique data points, resulting in comprehensive coverage to help you evaluate and construct ETFs, analyze potential trades, and perform fund research. Data Frequency: Daily; Update Frequency: Intraday.

Job Summary:

As an Assistant Manager of Operations you will be responsible for leading a team with Team Leaders, Senior Team Leaders in providing accurate and reliable content, financial, and non-financial market data to internal and external clients using various data sources and financial reports. This role oversees multiple data collection and quality processes, ensuring their timeliness, accuracy, and completeness, while continually driving improvements. Key responsibilities include managing performance evaluation metrics, formulating motivation plans, preparing capacity planning, and ensuring effective workload distribution. The role also focuses on implementing process improvement initiatives, adhering to Business Enterprise Agility and Digital Transformation principles, and collaborating with senior management and stakeholders to optimize operational plans and strategies. Additionally, the Assistant Manager is dedicated to efficiently managing resources, hiring appropriate candidates, and maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction and client query resolution.

Job Responsibilities:

Operations Management: 

Responsible for ensuring that his/her team provides accurate and reliable content/financial and/or quantitative financial and non-financial market data to internal database and/or external clients based on various data sources, financial reports and resources. 

Incumbent may handle multiple collection or quality processes and/or markets. Ensures timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the coverage of their teams' collection and drive actions to continuously improve the same. 

Timely, accurate, complete collection and update of data 

People Management:  

Manages performance evaluation metrics and formulates, executes, monitors and assesses motivation plans for enhanced employee morale and appropriate rewards systems. 

Prepares capacity planning, manages shifts, overtime requirement and workload distribution.  

Ensures to lookout for cross production within the department.  

Improved motivation and continuous development of the core competencies of the team members resulting to better employee satisfaction and retention  

Efficiently managing resources for productive results 

Project Management and Process Improvement Initiatives:  

Implements process improvement initiatives and projects and recommends product enhancements. 

Observes the values and principles around Business Enterprise Agility and Digital Transformation in handling projects and process improvement initiatives. 

Increased efficiency and effectiveness of collection and data quality with direct impact on business goals related to TACCU 

Continuous improvement in our processes following the Agile and Digital Transformation principles. 

Stakeholder Management:   

Works with Senior management and respective stakeholders to build plans and improvement strategies for greater output. 

Smooth execution of operational plans and business strategies  

Workforce/Resource Management:  

Hires appropriate candidates to fulfill resources requirement 

New resource hiring for timely production delivery 

Client Management (FactSet clients):  

Manages client RPDs and query resolution. 

Improved client satisfaction and retention. 

Job Requirements:

Good at MIS, MS applications (Excel, Word & Power Point)

Exposed to decision making, process improvement tools and techniques.

Flexibility to work in shifts

Excellent communication skills - both Written and Oral

Has demonstrated excellent team management abilities (mentoring, coaching, training)

Has demonstrated good ability to improve performance of individual team members

Has demonstrated drive and initiative in managing team projects outside of regular maintenance

Has shown strong leadership and participation in local internal projects

Has demonstrated strong interpersonal skills outside of the management of his own direct reports
