Position Objective:Position duties include but are not limited to: assist in providing direction to rental store employees and management of all activities related to the store. Responsibilities:Assist in hiring and managing all staffAssist in setting the pace for the sales force, and assisting the branch manager in setting mutually agreed yearly goals and working toward achieving them.Leading the staff to make decisions to improve workplace, company, marketplace and customer satisfactionAssist in managing the fleet, shop operations, trucking and administrative areasAssist in purchasing of small rental fleet and showroom itemsOversees customer billings and account levelsOrganizes and controls yard Works with branch manager to keep branch profitableMakes sure equipment is available and delivered on timeKeeps track of pickups to insure that no pickup is left too longManages COD accounts along with CAT Access customersRuns reports daily/weekly (open tub, slow rent, yard inventory)Other related duties and projects assigned by management Assist in management of branch level safety program in all areas to ensure all policies and procedures are enforced with responsibility for all results. This includes:Adhering to all safety rules for policies and enforcement of thesesKeep shop and equipment staging area clean and free of clutterMaintain all hazardous material law II series proceduresEnsure that overhead cranes, floor jacks, compressor, welding carts, fire extinguishers, etc. are inspected and documentedEnforce all personal protective equipment rules and regulationsEnsure all safety rules and policies are enforcedHave a weekly tool box safety meeting and document it with a copy given to manager daily.Ensure that all ANSI and DOT inspections are completed with 0 days lateQualifications:Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a college educationFamiliarity of heavy and light duty equipmentGood computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent people and management skillsKnowledge of Caterpillar machinery The duties and responsibilities described here are not a comprehensive list, and the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands. All MacAllister Machinery companies are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, including Disabled and Veteran applicants.
