Manage a team of smelting technicians and operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Optimize smelting processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize energy consumption. Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and execute preventive maintenance activities on smelting equipment. Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Ensure quality control measures are in place to maintain the desired chemical composition of the smelted copper. Develop and implement safety protocols to create a secure work environment for all smelting plant employees. Stay updated with the latest advancements in smelting technology and recommend upgrades or modifications as necessary. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and participate in audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Prepare reports on smelting operations, including production output, downtime, and efficiency metrics.

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Professional certification in metallurgy or smelting processes is highly desirable.

10 to 12 years of experience in the copper industry, with a strong focus on smelting processes.
