Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the smelting process Ensure the efficient and safe operation of smelting equipment and machinery Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular maintenance and repairs of smelting equipment Manage and lead a team of smelter operators, providing guidance and support as needed Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and optimization Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain product quality standards Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards Prepare regular reports on smelter operations and performance for senior management Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for smelter operators Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred 10 to 12 years of experience in the copper industry Proven track record in smelter operations and management Experience in implementing safety protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a team of smelter operators
