Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the smelting facility, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance smelting efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce production costs Lead and mentor a team of smelting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate raw material inputs, production schedules, and product quality control measures Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, occupational health, and safety standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize smelting processes, minimize waste, and enhance overall operational performance Prepare and analyze production reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities related to smelting operations Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in smelting processes Act as a liaison with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and compliance Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred 10 to 12 years of experience in the copper industry Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a smelting facility Demonstrated expertise in optimizing smelting processes and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
