40Summary:
The Assistant Medical Director of Urgent Care Clinics assists the Medical Director in the clinical operations of the UCC. The primary roles are:
1) developing with administration and management, annual and long-term UCC goals and objectives.
2) organization and monitoring of the quality of clinical operations, and
3) balancing clinical quality and economic efficiency according to CCMC goals.
As an integral member of the management team, the Assistant Medical Director has full access to all information related to the operation of the UCC. The Assistant Medical Director entrusts to the management those issues not directly related to the clinical aspects of the UCC. Management conversely consults the Assistant Medical Director on important clinical issues. By virtue of this relationship, the Assistant Medical Director generally may allot the bulk of his or her time to clinical care and rely on UCC management and teams for day to day operations.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.American Heart Association BLS and PALS.Unrestricted Texas Medical license.Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics.Board certified/Board Eligible in their specialty area.About Cook Children’s:
