As an Assistant Category Merchandiser within the Commercial function, you will be working on one of our most exciting categories and some of the top technology brands such as Samsung and Amazon. This role will be responsible for stock and range management on Tablets, requiring and individual who can work autonomously, effectively collaborate with team members and has excellent analytical skills.

 

To support your development, you’ll have the opportunity to complete a Level 4 apprenticeship Buying & Merchandising! You'll be able to start your apprenticeship after 3 months of joining the team (subject to eligibility).

Role overview:

 

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

Build close relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and our supply chain to ensure continuity of supply Step up and take responsibility for achieving all key performance indicators (sales, stock, margin and markdown) Review sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends and market trends Monitor weekly performance and make recommendations to ensure that we implement in-season plans and deliver target availability across the store estate

You will need:

Previous experience in Merchandising as an Assistant Category Merchandiser ideally in consumer goods, technology, non fashion or a fashion related sector  A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g., Marketing, Merchandising, Retail or Business Knowledge of merchandise planning systems such as SAP, Compass Planning or similar Experience of business objects Strong numerical, analytical skills, and communication skills
