The Assistant Merchant's primary responsibility is to support the Merchant in assigned category (ies)in maintaining accurate, detailed information necessary for daily business decision-making.You will be located in West Chester, OhioWho We Are

As an assistant, you will learn the business, contribute to product idea generation, and work with all the different functions within the Frontgate brand.You will report to a Merchant.Your Impact
You will support the department/category in Strategy and Presentation: Develop an understanding of the connection between financial strategies and related merchandise goals.You will be responsible for knowing, understanding, and following all corporate calendar meetings and events for our Merchandising Department.You will be involved in Assortment Development: Collaborate with the entire merchant team on cohesive seasonal looks and assortments. Help gather market intelligence focusing on business opportunities and present insights to merchant leadership. Write copy stories to product details that articulate benefits while highlighting the Frontgate difference.What You Bring
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Merchandising or related field.Manage processes and projects.You will be collaborative, and able to work with our team.You will be proficient in Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Curious and open to learning.Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
