Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Transformation & Virtual Care Services

Job Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Manager for Clinical Transformation and Virtual Care Services is responsible for oversight and management of the Masimo Monitoring Command Center (MMCC) and assigned virtual care services projects within the OCTVC portfolio.  This includes the day-to-day responsibility for MMCC personnel, as well as collaborating with sales, marketing and outside business partners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the activities of the MMCC and assigned clinical transformations projects of the OCTVC.  Oversee and manage the activities of assigned virtual care service personnel to include all relevant supervisory actions, managing customer-related communications, and work schedules on a short and long-term basis under the oversight and supervision of the Nurse Manager. Augment and support the Nurse Manager role to render clinical services within each care program to include all necessary internal workflow issues, as well as managing and responding to customer-initiated communications regarding service delivery. Maintain the established Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) measures and coach staff as needed. Work collaboratively with Masimo’s Operations team to enforce personnel follow the established standard operating procedures (SOP).  Ensure program conformity with all applicable internal policies regarding corporate compliance, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), and documentation requirements under the supervision of the Nurse Manager.   Responsible for hiring, on-boarding, corrective actions and job description development for assigned positions within the program under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and in collaboration with Human Resources. Foster strategic thinking and creativity to conceptualize innovative approaches to clinical service delivery in telehealth and virtual care services. Provide clinical education, follow up, and training needs of the program Facilitate adoption of Masimo solutions and services to enhance clinical workflows, improve patient and clinical outcomes in compliance of regulatory requirements and GCP standards. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

Five or more years of clinical nursing experience with an understanding of Telehealth, Virtual Care and Remote Patient Monitoring.  Previous staff management experience. The successful candidate must possess personal and professional credibility and abide by Masimo’s guiding principles. Commands strong, written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must be results oriented with positive “can do” attitude with a sense of urgency to include time management skills. Must be comfortable managing assigned personnel, including organizing and prioritizing work schedules on a short-term and/or long-term basis. Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment. Ability to provide consultation and recommendations to senior management. Ability to present inside and/or outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed. Must be organized and detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to professionally communicate effectively with management, executives, physicians, staff, peers, sales reps and customers. Ability to travel 50% of the time to client cites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior telehealth, virtual care or remote patient monitoring work experience required. Background in medical technology, and patient monitoring including continuous wearable and spot check sensors preferred. Prior collaborative work experience with clinical engineering and information technology teams.

Education:

CA Registered Nurse licensed required.  Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Master’s degree preferred.

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000.  Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
