Assistant Nurse Manager

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for assisting the nurse manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit.  In collaboration with the nurse manager, assumes 24/7 responsibility for the management and staffing of the unit.  The ANM manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate.  The scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care.  The ANM maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.

Required qualifications: 

Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree - Complete BSN within 2 years of accepting ANM Position     3 years Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital. Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience. Leadership experience. Shared Governance experience.
