The Impact You Can Make
The Assistant Nurse Manager, in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, plans, organizes, directs and actively participates in the nursing care of patients, works with the multi-disciplinary team to manage the day-to-day operations of the service. This includes problem solving, coordination of assignments and patient placement, staffing, CI activities, facilitation of staff competency, validation and performance monitoring. The Assistant Nurse Manager acts as a role model and a mentor to staff.

Responsibilities
Provides Clinical supervision to staff and identifies performance issues to the Director or Nurse Manager.Demonstrates principles of Evidence Based Leadership.Completes and conducts selected performance appraisals within 60 days of anniversary date. Reviews appraisals with the Director for approval prior to meeting with employee.Collaborates in staff scheduling providing input into requests for variation.Assist in CI Program for service.Assists and provides input into current policies and procedures.Provides clinical input for budget preparation.Acknowledges diverse perspectives; language and behavior fosters inclusiveness in the work environmentMaintains professional working relationships with peers, management, and customers at all timesIncorporates organizational mission, vision, and values as well as the Code of Conduct in all actions and behaviorsThe Impact You Can Make
