Responsibilities

About this position

In keeping with the Dignity Health care philosophy, the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) functions collaboratively and uses independent judgment to provide high quality care by assuring appropriate staffing on a shift basis or more as indicated by patient acuity and census. Is accountable for unit operations, supervision, staff development, patient care delivery and clinical outcomes on assigned shifts. Is responsible for providing clinical nursing leadership to unit staff and may provide direct patient care. Reports to the Director of Surgical Services.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with experience in direct patient care and leadership.Registered Nurse with two (2) years of work experience.Current California Registered Nurse license.Current approved health care provider CPR certification- BLS. Current ACLS certification.Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

OR or Preop/PACU experience.BSN preferred.CNOR or CPAN/CAPA
