The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for daily operations of the nursing unit and assuring that short-term problems are addressed timely. This Assistant Nurse Manager works closely with the Nurse Manager to drive quality, safety, and financial outcomes. This position communicates regularly with the Nurse Manager so that the Nurse Manager can be aware of trends for longer term problem solving. The Assistant Nurse Manager may assume unit management functions as designated by the Nurse Manager.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to help oversee our 34 bed unit which is a mix of couplet care, gyn and antipartum. This position will also help oversee lactation.

Who Should Apply:

Requires baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing and RN license in the state of Maryland CPR certification Five years of experience as a RN; three years of supervisory experience in a nursing unit Requires knowledge of: Hospital policies and procedures Safety and scientific inquiry process Regulatory standards Revenue and expense components of the unit budget Personnel processes including staffing vacancies, personnel policies, payroll practices, and performance review processes. We like all of our staff to have National Certification Corporation Electronic Fetal Monitoring within the first 12 months.
