The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the nursing unit. The position is a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. You will report to the Unit Director as an expert clinical leader and role model of clinical best practices. Experienced professional who provides direct clinical supervision to professional and technical staff. Participates in establishing clinical departmental goals and objectives. Manages the accountability and stewardship of human, financial, and often physical resources to facilitate coordinated and quality patient care in compliance with departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Functions with high autonomy and shares 24/7 management responsibility with the Unit Director.
Qualifications
We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
+ Current California RN license required
+ BSN or MSN required
+ 3 years of recent acute care experience
+ BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
+ ACLS required by start date
+ Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
+ Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
+ Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
