Job Summary:

The Assistant Online Goodwill Manager is responsible for managing the Photo, Shipping, Inventory Control, Jewelry, Book and General Merchandise Departments in the Online Goodwill Department. The assistant manager also assists the manager with customer service issues.

Job Description

Essential Functions

Establishes listing and sales goals for jewelry, books and general merchandise listed online.Maintains security and safety standards in the Online Goodwill area.Identifies, hires and trains qualified people to manage the various Online Goodwill Departments.Monitors and maintains the quality and effectiveness of online sales to include photos and descriptions which will ensure maximum return for listed items.Ensures that the stores are supplied with jewelry and books that are properly processed, prepared and adequate in quantity.Ensures that special requests from the stores for jewelry are promptly prepared and shipped.Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times.Regular, reliable attendance as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy.Assist the Online Goodwill Manager with customer service issues.Be available to supervise Associates on evening and weekend shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills:

Education

High school diploma is required.

Experience

Minimum of one year of management is required.Minimum of one year of demonstrable experience in identifying and serving customers in all functional areas is required.

Knowledge and Skills

Familiarity with wide array of valuable and/or collectible items.Experience, creativity and the ability to identify opportunities; develop plans to exploit those opportunities and the ability to execute the plans effectively.Positive attitude and be able to positively motivate associates at all levels.Ability to interact effectively with peer level and senior managers.Team player and able to get along with others.Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
