The University of Southern California (USC) Department of Surgery is recruiting acute care surgeons to practice general surgery, emergency surgery, and surgical critical care at Keck Hospital of USC and Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, both in Los Angeles. We seek faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level who are BC/BE in general surgery and have obtained added qualifications (BC/BE) in critical care from the American Board of Surgery. Departmental (joint) appointments and additional clinical activity will be determined on an individual basis. Demonstrated interest in teaching or research is required; the ideal candidate will have a history of scholarship and evidence of recognition in the field of acute care surgery and critical care. Faculty will collaborate as part of a multi-professional acute care surgery team on a broad range of initiatives that include performance improvement, informatics, tele-medicine, global health, engineering, and business. Leadership and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
