Job Summary

The College of Computing & Informatics, Information Science Department invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor with a specialization in data science.

This position is located in Philadelphia, PA, and involves regular on-campus teaching.

Essential Functions

Teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Involves regular on-campus courses/sections. Serve as curricular leader in your primary area. Scholarly research and service to the college and department. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree Experience in teaching in both on-campus and online environments. Expertise in information science with an emphasis in data science. Experience in information science competencies and curriculum development. Broad knowledge in information science and interest in promoting information science to a wide audience.  A vision for interdisciplinary information science education in the 21st century.

Additional Information

This is a full-time Faculty position classified as Exempt. The salary offered is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
