Assistant Pension Actuarial Analyst
What You'll Do As an Assistant Pension Actuarial Analyst, you’ll assist in the preparation of government forms and other pension information to ensure clients are in compliance with laws and regulations. In addition, you’ll initiate the beginning steps and analysis needed to assist in the preparation of actuarial reports for defined benefit pension clients. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those who wish to further develop their knowledge of actuarial concepts, valuation procedures and governmental regulations within the defined benefit space. You'll support a team of actuarial analysts by: Completing required government forms, accurately and timely within prescribed deadlines. The government forms include the following: Form 5500 Schedule SB/MB, Annual Funding Notices and terminating PBGC Comprehensive Filings. Updating actuarial carry-forwards, gathering and organizing information, and tracking progress for actuarial valuation. Preparing correspondence to notify clients of required quarterly contributions, unpaid annual costs, questionnaires and to convey other information. Providing support and assistance to other actuarial personnel including answering questions, training, and mentoring. Effectively communicate with actuarial staff, accurately track jobs progress, and monitor work using the established monitoring system. Success in this position requires consistently achieving results, meeting deadlines, and establishing the relationships needed to meet shared goals. We are looking for someone who enjoys working through details in a collaborative environment. Who You Are Have an Associate's degree in business, mathematics or related field, or equivalent. Intermediate+ skills in MS Office products, including Excel. Skills that will help you stand out: Prior experience in defined benefits. Good analytical, communication, organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills. Ability to complete detailed work accurately. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $18.39 - $35.19 / hour Time Off Program Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Location This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements.
