Job DescriptionThe Assistant Plant Engineer assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function, including installation, and repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities.
The Assistant Plant Engineer should have:
Strong maintenance and/or furnace operations backgroundExperience with maintenance management softwareExperience in a maintenance leadership roleStrong electrical backgroundAbility to communicate effectively with all levels within the organizationThe Assistant Plant Engineer will:
Assist in directing preventive maintenance programsCoordinate and supervise all construction and service work performed by outside contractorsConduct periodic inspections of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and groundsReview shift operations, make decisions, and implement actions relative to changes on shifts that may impact processing, procedures, personnel, equipment, and customer requirementsTrack downtime and provide solutions to decrease downtimeQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent required, trade school or bachelor degree in Engineering would be a plus Industrial electrical experience required5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership position in a manufacturing facility, glass industry experience is preferredAdditional InformationWhat we offer at O-I:
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 - $110,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
